Jide Ogundare

Director

About Jide Ogundare

Mr. Jide Ogundare is the founder and managing director of MBO Capital Management Limited (MCM), a private equity firm that invests in small to medium-sized companies in Nigeria and the rest of Anglophone West Africa.

In addition to leading the executive team at MCM, he serves as a director of AfyaCare Nigeria Ltd – a company that invests in healthcare assets, Retail Supermarkets Nigeria Limited (operator of Shoprite stores in Nigeria) and FCSL Asset Management Limited. All three companies are portfolio companies of MCM.

Prior to founding MBO Capital in 2012, Jide was an Executive Director and Head, Retail Banking Division of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (GTBank), a leading African Bank with Nigerian roots where he worked for 21 years.

He holds an MBA from Cardiff Business School and a first degree in Law from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Jide was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987.

About Adekunle Adebiyi

Adekunle oversees MBO Capital’s investment division. He has over 15 years experience in investment banking, consulting, telecommunications, operations management and private equity.
Prior to joining MBO Capital Management Limited, Adekunle worked at PwC Nigeria as a Corporate Finance Manager, where he provided sell-side and buyside financial advisory. Adekunle previously worked for Access Bank plc, initially as head of private equity in its asset management subsidiary and then as a team lead in the financial markets division. He has also worked in New York at Lehman Brothers as an investment-banking Associate and in London at DHL, a global logistics company. He started his career at Analysys, a UK-based telecommunications consultancy as a research analyst.
Adekunle holds an MBA in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) and an MA/MEng in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

Jerry Igwilo

About Dr. Jerry Igwilo

Dr Jerry Igwilo is a Director at MCM JETs Limited. He has over 20 years of professional experience spanning aviation management, private banking, wealth management, corporate finance, law, and business strategy.

Prior to joining MCM JETs, Dr Igwilo served as the Accountable Officer at Marietta Management Services Ltd, where he provided oversight on the management and operations of a Bombardier 604 private jet.

He is also the Co-founder and CEO at Wynk Limited, an innovative technology company, developed a lifestyle super app integrating mobility, payments, and digital commerce, and the Founder and CEO of Nisela Capital Limited, a boutique corporate finance advisory and PPP consultancy firm.

Dr. Igwilo holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business (UCT GSB), an LL.M. in International Corporate Law from Salford University, Manchester, and a PhD in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

About Adekunle

Morin Jide-Ibironke

About Morin

Morin possesses over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having worked across different roles in sales, business development, product development and relationship management both locally and internationally. As a Treasury Sales Manager, she is responsible for developing and driving the growth strategy for MBO Capital and its portfolio companies, managing client’s portfolios and providing financial advisory services.
She started her career with Lead Bank and held roles in Private Banking – sales and business development. She left, to further her studies and worked with HBOS Plc as well as Vodafone Plc whilst based in the United Kingdom. Upon her return to Nigeria, she joined Standard Chartered Bank Plc as an Investment Services / Relationship Officer.
Morin later joined CRC Credit Bureau as a Relationship Officer and rose to become the Head of the Sales and Marketing department before she leaving to join FBN Capital Limited as the Head Private Banking / High Net-worth Individuals. Prior to joining MBO Capital, Morin worked in Sterling Bank.
She holds an MBA degree from Cardiff Business School UK, and a Bachelors degree in Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University
